Think for a moment and answer this question: What is your daily routine?
Having a daily routine is a critical part of successful living. It is so important that unless we do things routinely that contribute to a desired outcome, we will never grow into the person we truly want to be. Instead, we will simply go through each day haphazardly encountering things as they happen. This takes the control away from us. By having a routine, things do not happen to you, but rather you make things happen!
Doing something routinely creates the neuropathways in your brain. These are the neuropathways needed to help your whole self to develop in ways that can accomplish what you desire to do in life. Having positive routines will change you by training your brain to lead you to the things needed to be successful in what you are trying to achieve. It will help you in all areas of life. It will give you the physical strength and dexterity, seek out knowledge that applies, and lead you into the emotions most useful in moving you along to the success in accomplishing the things you include in your routine. It will help you identify and put in place the emotions that will motivate and encourage you to accomplish the things to which you have trained your brain through repetition to help you achieve. Your brain will even help you to recognize opportunities and engage the knowledge, emotions, and physical attributes needed to utilize the opportunities. Your brain will simultaneously draw you away from any obstacles.
It is important to remember that this principle of routine will work for both positive AND negative things you place in your routine. So, make it a habit to train your brain to identify and work to instill positive daily routines that will serve you well throughout life's journey. As Cesar Millan once said, "Repetition creates the master." Routinely remind yourself of that.
